I'm very, very excited to be announcing to you all today that for the early part of 2010 at the very least, British Style Bloggers will be running Body Image Season - as part of the Fashion Activism Campaign that Claire began with the "350 Items in My Wardrobe" climate change capaign earler this month.
Body Image is something we feel very strongly about, and it's something we think that Fashion Bloggers should be working harder to help - because, basically, we deal in aesthetics.
We'll be telling you the full details in January, when we launch this thing properly, but the basic message of our campaign is going to be feeling happy with yourself, regardless of size, shape, race, hair or skin colour and anything else under the sun that can make people feel bad about themselves.
So, to help us launch the campaign, we're asking for your help. We'd like to create a campaign video, showing the world that every one of us is unique, and that everyone has something about themselves that they like, and something that they loathe.
So, we're asking you to do one of two things (or both) -
- Send a photo of yourself that you really like - one that makes you feel really good about yourself, to us...
- Or send us a short video clip which has not been uploaded to any video sharing site, including YouTube, telling the camera what makes you unique. Videos should be compatible with Windows XP (.wmv form, I think!)
You can email clips and photos to ukstylebloggers@googlemail.com, as soon as possible! (I have a day off work and with no school work on Jan 3rd, which I'd like to use to make the video)
We can't wait to hear from you - and we really, really want as much support with this worthwhile campaign as possible, so we'd love for as many people as possible to get involved - even if you're not a member, or a Style Blogger, or British! The more support, the better!
Press releases will be available soon - please feel free to repost this (with full citation, of course!), or tweet it on to your followers!
Thank you, Merry Christmas, and Love,
- The BSB Team -
PS - a very inspirational image here, from Claire, and please remember to vote for the Christmas Party Winner HERE

You can embed some of my Battlefront videos if you want into posts, and use the rest of the pictures!
